Product Manager
The role of the Product Manager is to be subject matter expert for the assigned products/segments. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining product profitability, positioning, placement & promotional activities for assigned product families.
Some tasks that await you:
- Develop and implement multi-year product marketing plan including strategy, actions and tactics in alignment with divisional and corporate vison, strategy and plan.
- Maintain product line viability by reviewing existing product line mix for appropriate changes in formulation, packaging, or addition/deletion of products; recommend changes.
- Responsible for voice of customer & competitive product line assessment & analysis through collaboration with business intelligence team.
- Closely collaborate with Sales team to develop, implement and evaluate channel and product go to market opportunities, approaches and plans.
- Responsible for product positioning and product line profitability.
- Promote products through use of point-of-sale materials, sales incentives, premium incentives, net pricing, and other forms of promotional activities.
- Responsible for MRSP for assigned product families.
- Responsible for marketing portion of specification process from initial concept to finished product.
- Identify new product opportunities and implements specification for approved projects.
- Assist with development of all marketing communications materials including electronic, printed, and multi-media and assists Marketing Services with advertising campaigns.
- Provide training and product support for Sales team.
- Responsible for technical data sheets.
- Support Product needs for EMEIA group.
- Responsible for innovation and differentiation of products and programs.
- Conceive, design, and execute new product launches.
This is what we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated success in product management, product marketing, category management, and sales support.
- Experience in lubricants, corrosion protection and/or specialty Chemicals is highly desired.
- Knowledge of distribution (B2B) or Retail (B2C); and Industrial Segment (MRO-OEM); Automotive Aftermarket segments is required.
- Must possess excellent written, inter-personal, communication and strong organizational skills with the ability to lead in a cross functional team environment.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills.
- Good time management for working on a variety of projects.
- Fluent in English, Dutch. Knowledge of French or any other European language is an asset.
