Reporting Structure:

The Position reports into the Supply Chain Manager, UK. This fulltime position has no direct reports.

Working Environment:

Office based, with some hybrid working flexibility.

Summary:

The role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to candidates educated to Degree level within a relevant discipline and/or holding a relevent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing and/or chemical industry environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing multiple vendors across a large and complex product item portfolio.
  • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrable experience of delivering cost reductions by developing positive working relationships with multiple vendors.
  • Familiarity with operating MRP systems within ERP environments, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience and competence with use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint; and experience of using reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and task prioritisation skills, with the ability to self-prioritise own workload.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and very good communication skills at all organisational levels.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers to deliver organsational goals.

This is what we expect from you:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day execution of local (UK) Procurement activities, specifically:
    • Managing existing vendor relationships
    • Identification of new vendors
    • Price negotiations
    • Contract management
  • Replenishment – order placing and associated progress chasing of finished products sourced from third parties, covering:
    • 3PM
    • Turn-Key
    • Non-Turn-Key
  • Setting up of new Supplier accounts and maintenance of vendor pricing with the Company’s ERP system.
  • To support the Operations and Quality functions in the investigation of supplier complaints and non-conformances; and in the measurement of the performance of key vendors.
  • To support the wider UK Site team structure to optimise customer service levels and ensure that it continues to meet its planned OTIF target levels.
  • To support the Continuous Improvement of Supply Chain activities within the local UK and wider regional organisation
